Melissa Scheinfeld, M.A., ACC

Melissa is an insightful and intuitive ICF-certified executive coach who leverages purpose-driven senior leaders’ and entrepreneurs’ ability to effect positive change.  Melissa developed expertise in change management, leadership development, and high-performance people management through ten years leading human capital work in national K-12 school networks.  A graduate of Brown University, Melissa is a former classroom teacher with a master’s in executive public leadership from the LBJ School at the University of Texas.  

 

Melissa’s passion is in coaching purpose-driven leaders during periods of personal and professional transition.  With creativity, a keen instinct for human behavior, and a deep understanding of best practices, Melissa is an expert in coaching those who want to make mission-critical changes stick.

 

In her most recent role as SVP of Talent Development at IDEA Public Schools, Melissa oversaw the development pipeline for 115 schools, with up to 35 new school launches in one year.  Melissa’s team included 40 leadership coaches and program directors, based in regions across the United States, to develop an annual portfolio of up to 50 ready-to-go principals and 1000 new teachers.  Melissa is a coaches’ coach with an ability to bring out the best in those who are tasked with bringing out the best in others.   

 

Melissa has expertise with focus groups, design-thinking sessions for leaders, pilot groups, core values revision, executive team alignment, and coaching managers to identify and retain their top talent.  Her coaching portfolio includes C-suite Leaders, Executive Directors, Vice Presidents, and Owner/Entrepreneurs in social impact fields.

 

Melissa is also an avid runner and a ceramic artist.  She lives in Austin, TX with her husband and two young kids.
